Expert to Introduce New Personal Care Line

With a Master's degree in hair science, Hans Wolf is one of the most accomplished hair designers in North America. His also a stickler for quality, selecting only the finest ingredients for the personal car products he uses in his chain of cutting-edge hair salons in California.

When Hans was introduced to Young Living essential oils early this year, he was astonished with the quality of Young Living's essential oils. According to Gary Young, essential oils make ideal additions to natural hair and skin care products because of their ability to kill bacteria, regenerate, and cleanse.

Creating a formula that was free from questionable syn-thetic chemicals was very challenging because synthetics often produce the best results. "I refused to use any questionable chemicals like DEA, TEA, sodium lauryl sulfate, or methyl paraben in these products," Gary Young emphasized. "I want these products to have only the finest natural ingredients. So we used natural vitamins A, C, and E as antioxidants, and vegetable protein as surfactants."

Gary Young also insisted that the AromaSilk line contain a very special ingredient: Wolfberry seed oil. Rich in vitamin E, linoleic, and oleic acids, this vegetable oil has an unusual chemistry that makes it ideal for nourishing and hydrating the skin and protecting the hair. "The wolfberry seed oil is one of the best oils for both the skin and hair," researcher Sue Chao explained. "It is very sought after throughout Asia and has some very unusual regenerative properties, such as protecting aging skin and adding luster to skin tone."

MSM was added to the AromaSilk products because it is one of the best sources of organic sulfur, an element crucial for the health of skin and hair. "Without organic sulfur, both the hair and skin can become thin and lose their plumpness and firmness," say MSM expert Ronald Lawrence, M.D., Ph.D. "This is because the hair and skin are constructed out of sulfur-bearing amino acids like cystine and methionine."

The AromaSilk hair treatment system was designed for three types of hair:

• A lavender line that adds volume and fullness to hair

• A rosewood line that moisturizes dry or damaged hair

• A lemon-sage line that prepares hair for perms or coloring

Each line contains a wash, rinse, and sealer. Hair is first washed to remove buildup, then rinsed to add nutrients, and finally sealed to impart luster and seal in moisture.

Who is Hans Wolf?

Winner of the prestigious World Master of the Craft Award in Los Angeles and the Lifetime Achievement Award in New York, Hans Wolf has earned an interna-tional reputation as a master hair designer - a career that started in Austria from very humble beginnings.

Hans and his family fled Communist Romania by emigrating to Austria at the end of World War II. As a youth of 14 in a refugee camp near Wels, Austria, Hans became a hair-syling apprentice. After completing his master's degree at the University of Vienna and passing a grueling nine-day test on 38 phases of the hair indus-try, he became a fully licenses hairdresser.

Hans spent several years studying in Vienna under Fred Rachle, on of Europe's most imminent and inno-vative artist in hair design. He quickly earned a repu-tation for highly competitive fashion work, photo-styling, and artistic design. In 1966, he was part of the winning Austrian hair-design team at the Hair Olympics.

Invited by Loreal to become their star director, Hans emigrated to the United States in 1975. Hans opened an Advanced Color and Design Academy in Santa Barbara, California. In addition to teaching, he published a num-ber of books on hair styling and taught for almost every major color and hair product company in the world.

After opening his first salon, Hans watched his busi-ness expand into 32 locations. During this time, Hans developed "The Framing System" which synthesized all the principles of the hair industry. This system became so successful that it was patented internationally and used throughout Europe and Asia.
